Hello and welcome to Wearing My Truth!  My name is Raven Martin and I am the face behind the brand. 

There is a saying that the most difficult paths lead to the most beautiful destinations; I could not agree more.  In 2009, I was 30 years old and relatively healthy.  I was a graduate student enjoying life as a wife and mom to 2 boys all while working in birth defects research.  After returning from a family vacation to Disneyland, I began experiencing abdominal pains and jaundice. 

In 2010, my health continued to worsen, which eventually led to my diagnosis of PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis), an auto-immune liver disease. Over time, it progressed to liver failure and on August 3, 2022, I received a liver transplant. I am so thankful that my donor's family gifted me a second chance at life.   

As I continue to heal, I  have made a commitment to share my testimony to help others.  Wearing My Truth is  my way to help liver and kidney transplant candidates connect with a living donor and to bring awareness to living organ donation.
